NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Construction crews have been making significant progress in building the new stadium for the Nashville Sounds, and the project was said to be on schedule.
When the 2014 season wrapped up last week, all eyes turned from Greer Stadium to the site at Sulphur Dell, where The First Tennessee Park is undergoing construction. The company told NewsChannel 5’s Amy Watson on Friday that the project was on schedule.
Crews have even begun pouring concrete as early as midnight some nights, partly because of the weather, but also to stay on schedule.
The steel framing for the ballpark has also recently begun going up, as crews continue progress. Other areas, including the concourse, the club level and locker rooms should be finished by October.
Sounds management said fans have been coming into the office every day and buying season tickets.
